Open-rank tenure-track position in Stable isotope geochemistry at Oregon State University
The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University seeks applications for an open-rack tenure-track position in stable isotope geochemistry.
The successful candidate will lead a world-class research program that applies stable isotopic systems to important Earth System research questions. We are particularly interested in candidates who can connect with existing strengths within our college, including paleoclimate, sea-going research, ocean ecology and biogeochemistry, and polar science. The position entails directorship or co-directorship of the Oregon State Stable Isotope Collaboratory (OSSIC, https://ceoas.oregonstate.edu/oregon-state-stable-isotope-collaboratory<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fceoas.ore…>).

The College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, tenure-track/tenured Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor: Marine Geologist (Seafloor Sediments) position (depending on qualifications).This position will complement and expand current expertise related to marine geology and specifically marine sediments.
This position will serve in a leading role as a co-director of the Marine Rock and Sediment Sampling Group (MARSSAM; https://marssam.ceoas.oregonstate.edu/<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmarssam.c…> ), an NSF-supported facility housed at OSU which comprises a team of six seagoing technicians and shore-based professionals. MARSSAM assists US scientists with planning and conducting seafloor coring and dredging expeditions, maintains and provides sampling equipment, sails technicians and ensures science goals are met or exceeded. As a co-director, the successful candidate will be expected to lead and advance US coring operations on US Academic Research Fleet vessels.
